Drupal for Facebook Upgraded to Latest SDK

The Drupal for Facebook website is now using the newest Facebook libraries.
You may not notice much different when visiting the site, but under the hood this is a big change.
We still show Facebook Connect and Canvas Page features, as usual. You'll also see Like Buttons on some of our pages. This is a new "Facebook Social" feature that you can use without even authorizing our application, and is only possible with the newest code from Facebook.

Add drupal content to my facebook wall
Hi,
I installed DFF on my 6.x Drupal install. Still trying to figure out how can I publish my Drupal blogs to my Facebook page.
Went through the documentation many time, still no success.
Please advise.

A question
What are the differences between the v2 and the v3 releases? Can't find them anywhere.
The biggest difference is the
The biggest difference is the underlying libraries. At their developer conference some months back, facebook announced new libraries.
The libraries have significant differences, so this project has differences between 2.x and 3.x as well. There are too many to list here, but the most important is the use of the latest client API.
Like Button Question
Hello Dave, thanks for the reply and this awesome module. I have jumped almost all hurdles and succesfully implemented fb on my portal, but this came up: Does the fb module includes a way to include de LIKE button functionality on every post or it has to be implemented separately?
Drupal provides many ways to
Drupal provides many ways to add markup to pages. Some are discussed here:

Thank you so much for the reply
With this my implementation is almost done. I promise to fire you a message when it's done for you to check it out.
Thanx again!

Still figuring out how to display the username properly instead of the 11111111@facebok.com crazy stuff. Keep the hard work!
Cool
Cant wait for the RC.
Glad to hear.
This is good news. I need I update my site.
Thank for your hard work.

This is very cool, Dave
Wanted to understand a few things about 3.x:
- Is your app still running FBML? The behaviour doesn't look like iFrame, as the Facebook header moves when you scroll, and very long pages don't get an iframe scroll.
- Any advice on what needs to happen to retain the iFrame theme on form submits would be most welcome. I've looked at the forums and the issues earlier, but there's nothing that's conclusive about 3.x.
Thank you!
no FBML
The pages on http://apps.facebook.com/drupalforfacebook are iframes, not FBML. There is a resizeable iframe feature used on those pages.
If you have a specific problem with form submits, post an issue to the queue. Especially if they affect this site. Please include details on how to reproduce, because in the past I've been unable to reproduce some of the problems submitted.
Very well done Dave
I appreciate your dedicated hardwork on this amazing module for drupal..Keep it up!!
new graph
the new graph fb module has issues.
you wrote the function fb_access_token in fb module becuase the sdk is a joke since when used in canvas you did not get the access_token. also the access_token you receive in this function does not hold the user session and identity.
when using as a connect site , you use the example in the documentation to get the access_token with session from javascript , but in a canvas mode , iframe or fbml access_token will be available using the session object coming from
$_REQUEST['session']. but this is only available from Facebook if you set the migration option for you app to "NEW SDKs" enabled.when doing that all older fb_sig params that coming from facebook are removed and do not exist.
so if you want the module to be able to do
if ($fbs = $_fb->getSession())in hook_init while in canvas , you can not do things like :isset($_REQUEST['fb_sig_in_iframe'])because this parameters do not exist.because of this , lastest version of fb4D that uses Graph need some work to adopt.
cool!!!
cool!!!

Kolla här lite!!!!
thank you
thank you
By latest version you mean...
using 6.x-3.x-dev here and not 6.x-2.0-rc2 of Drupal for Facebook?
I understand you need 6.x-3.x-dev to use the new SDK.
Correct
Use Drupal for Facebook 3.x and higher for the new libs from facebook.
2.x uses the older libraries.
:)
Nice - Thank you!
