Forgive me if this has come up before, but I looked through the issues, docs, and posts, and the FB developers docs, too, and didn't see a definitive answer.

Are third-party cookies absolutely required for Facebook Connect functionality to work?

On this site, and on my test Drupal install, I have to have third-party cookies enabled to login via FB Connect. If they are disabled, then the site stays logged in for a moment, and then refreshes to a logged-out state.

I have run across other sites (eg, weread.com) that will allow FB Connect logins with third-party cookies disabled.
